A hall for nine men's morris
Pull up a bench at the mill table: nine men each, twenty-four points and a computer opponent that ranges from forgiving to merciless. When you want a change, five more tables wait along the walls.

Pick up where you left off
No unfinished game in this browser yet. Every game you start is saved after each move.
Today in the hall
Every visitor gets the same position on the same day. Solve it and a candle is lit for that day; solve on consecutive days and the row of candles grows.
Your record in the hall
Finish a game against the computer and the tally appears here.
Other tables of the hall
Each table has its own page with a game against the computer, a two-player mode for one device, the rules and practical advice.
Draughts
Twelve men each on the dark squares, compulsory captures, English or Italian rules.
Reversi
Trap a line of discs and turn them to your colour; the corners decide.
Four in a row
Seven columns, gravity and one aim: four of your discs in a line before the opponent manages it.
Five in a row
Stones on a 15 × 15 lattice: make five in a line, block every open four.
Dots and boxes
Draw lines between dots; close a box and draw again. Control the chains.
The problem cellar
238 numbered positions, each with exactly one winning first move. They are checked by an exhaustive search before they reach the page, so a solution never depends on luck.
How the hall works
- Every game runs in your browser. The computer thinks in a background thread, so the page stays responsive even at Champion strength.
- Close the tab in the middle of a game and it is still there when you come back, move list included.
- One problem a day, the same for every visitor. Solve it and a candle is lit; light them on consecutive days to build a run.
